Labrador 2006 - à la recherche de l'eau pure.
A Unique Adventure in Virgin Territory on
Sea Scooters
- Some parts of this overpopulated plant
can still claim to symbolize the true meaning of "nature". This is an
invitation to discover one of those magical areas of which we all dream
: LE LABRADOR. Using sea scooters
we plan to, once again, wend our ay through this region which reminds
us of paradise.
- Having
previously navigated in the tracks of French explorer Jacques Cartier,
this year we are launching out on those of an earlier adventurer, the
Viking Erik the Red (the first European to reach the shores of North
America).
<>Departing from Goose
Bay, we will explore the fjords and the coast of
Labrador in the
course of a 1 500 km journey.
On the water, we will track down icebergs and will cross paths with
whales, seals and dolphins. The film that we are planning to produce
will also record the often highly unusual meeting we make with local
populations and will highlight their life styles and their local
environment.>
<>>
- We
are not interested in setting any records, nor is speed racing our
desire. Rather we simply
want to share our enthusiasm for these virgin areas and to allow those
who may never have the opportunity to visit them to discover them with
us through film..
- Operating
in total respect for the environment and for animal life, our journey
will be made on three sea scooters. These fabulous instruments of
freedom and discovery will be clean and silent machines so as not to
disturb the purity of this still wild nature.
Onward
to Canada and the Quest for Pure Water and Thousand-Year Old Icebergs
